Plenty of fun for my little buddy!, August 7, 2011.

I purchased one of these about two years ago for my new kitten… And he loved it. It let him get high up and have a great lay of the land. Plenty of places to scratch and sharpen his claws.

I moved cross-country and couldn’t bring much more than a few suitcases worth of stuff, needless to say I had to leave the Armakat cat-tree behind. My cat misses it, and my new tweed furniture feels the loss even more.

It is tall, and sways a little, but placing it in a corner or against a wall seems to solve most of these problems, not that the cat ever seemed to mind. You will occasionally need to tighten the bolts holding it together, and the little fuzzy dingle-balls lasted literally SECONDS before my cat tore them off – but all in all your cat will have a lot of fun on this cat-tree.

What an epic piece of cat furniture, at a steal of a price as well! Our cats took to it instantly! I read a few reviews stating the lack of quality of the toys included with the tree…the instructions even recommend replacing the toys with something else, but I wouldn’t let that deter you. We attached the included ones and they’ve done the trick with minimal batting around from our two cats. It took a close to 30 minutes to assemble, one could easily speed up the process by using a socket wrench on some of the bolts.

It’s massive in size, but still incredibly sturdy. My cats enjoy being able to see us eye to eye, when perched upon the uppermost platforms. I was shocked to see our cat, of 15 lbs, relaxing on the top platform within the first few nights of it being up. He’s skittish and often veered away from platforms on other cat trees.

I recommend this tree to every cat owner!.

Cats play on this a lot. Easy to assemble too., October 4, 2011.

Item is just as the picture here shows. First off, cats seem to be attracted to the pillars that are covered in rope. They like to rub against it and try out their claws on it. Seems like it should be able to take it. My cats seem to avoid the “hammock” right at the bottom as they are not used to such a thing. Being their first week, that can change.

I put this together in about an hour with lots of breaks. I suppose if I did it all in one go, maybe 20 mins tops. Parts are clearly labeled with letters. The instructions basically show you ok, take D and attach to C using A. I’d say the only issue I had was when attaching the little house, you have to find some pretty well concealed holes for short screws to fit in. Then you have to screw them in inside the house. Takes a bit of dexterity. I’d say that was the only real hang up. Everything fits together well, so don’t hesitate on buying this if you hate assembly (I sure do when it’s difficult).

My cats are still kittens so they can’t really take advantage of this yet. When they grow up I know they’ll really enjoy it a lot. For me and my cats this was a sound investment in kitty happiness.

This was easy to put together in spite of the cats “helping”. They did not want to wait until it was assembled to start enjoying their holiday gift. My cats are young and active so I drilled 3 small holes in the base to attach it to the floor. The instructions advise tightening the bolts after 2 days and they did need it–with those steps complete it seems very stable. There is at least one cat on it every time I look at it, and it is attractive enough to mesh with the ambience of the room. One of my cats does not like to jump but does like to climb, and she will scramble up the rope-covered support posts like a squirrel going up a tree. Another one has claimed the top perch for his very own. I did not add the hanging toy because I thought it would make them a little too crazy. They seem to enjoy it for both play and leisure. Since our place is not very big, this is a way to make it larger for them!

This is a replacement for an Armarkat Cat Tree that I had purchased almost a year and a half ago. That tree litterally saved my two wonderful cats lives during a flash flood that inundated my apartment on June 2, 2011. I did not have time to evacuate or even get anything moved out before the flood occured. Within 15 minutes more than 3 feet of water was in my apartment. I sat on my kitchen cabinet and my cats took safe harbor on the Armarkat tree. We waited for over nine hours before we could be rescued. That tree was a great one, it had been constructed with the best materials and was easy to put together. The link to the Model A6601 is the replacement for it. I recieved it just yesterday and put it together in less than 30 minutes the morning. Within seconds of completion both my cats were on it and having a ball. Armarkat products are really the best cat furniture makers that there is. I love it, my cats love it, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has cats and want them to have the best furniture to play on.

I sucked it up and bought this tree after my three cats destroyed the sofa. I have to say that I wish I had done so sooner. They love this tree and are now completely ignoring the sofa..

The tree was really easy to assemble. All of the necessary tools were included in the box. I ended up taking off the grey cave thing. We completely ignore it. They do like to lay on that level to look out the window though. They also ignore the hammock, but my ferret has claimed that part. The favorite part, of course, is the high shelf. One of them is always up there. They love the dangly toys too. My guys are older and have pretty much quite playing with stuff like that. All three of them act like kittens batting that ball around.

The unit is more stable than I thought it would be. I have it up against a window so when they jump off it pushes against the wall. I thought tipping over would be a problem, but so far so good.

The product arrived quickly and in good shape. I would definitely order this brand again.

Great cat tree from Armakat.I purchased much cheaper than what is listed, which is a plus. My cat Adrian was fearful of it when he first saw it put up but shortly was climbing and jumping around on it. Adrian really enjoys it and has been using it quite often. I am able to move it to the window so that he can look out during the day and at night i move it back against the wall. It is a bit wobbly but not enough to tip over. It was very easy to assemble. I think I assembled it in about 20 minutes. Great product!.

Great value, Great Price, July 21, 2009.

I ordered this after I read the other reviews. Following the advice of previous reviews, I checked this item directly with Armacat – they now wanted over $230 for this item, and with ebay – the lowest price was $130, so Amazon still had the best deal. I was a little apprehensive about putting it together, but when I considered the savings over buying one already assembled from my local pet store, I decided to try it. I figured if I can put together Ikea furniture, I can do this:).

It arrived quickly, and was simple to put together – I completed it in less than 20 minutes. One tip: when using the double sided screws, don’t screw one end in completely and then attempt to screw in the other side. The screw is too short for this to work. Instead, scew one side in part way, then the other, and twist the leg to make sure they are tightly secured in place.

My 3 cats LOVE it – there is something that suits each of their personalities on there. My 11 month old was climbing it as I was trying to put it together – he just couldn’t wait to try it! Of course, he liked the box it came in too.

The only thing I found surprising was that the “tunnel” on top is pretty small – only a kitten could really fit inside of it. Overall, I’m very happy with it and would not hesitate to order from them again.
